Comment

I could not stop myself from including this animatic. As late as 2003 I heard that it was still being talked about in the corridors of the headquarters of EURO RSCG.

The reason John McEnroe comes into the story is because Christian Peugeot is a tennis lover and the Spanish agency had an option on a name tennis player. The client simply wanted to see what such a commercial would look like.

The idea came as soon as I had got my brief – it could not have been clearer. Maybe that is why I’m still so keen on it. Even though it assumes that you saw John McEnroe in his prime.
